    Responsibilities

    The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the coordination of and logistical support for the onboarding program, monitoring and maintenance of records, proofing of printed support materials, distribution of training materials, and set up of training center. The Onboarding Specialist will manage all logistical communication with communities, presenters, and vendors before, during and after the event.

     

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation.

    • Provide logistical and administrative support for new hire onboarding programs including registration and communication with the new hires, community and presenters.
    • Arrange travel, lodging and transportation with vendors to reserve space and monitor expenses.
    • Maintain records of Department Director (DD) location, anticipated hire dates, monitor background clearance process and completion.
    • Communicate with Community Business Director, Executive Director, and Regional Vice President regarding onboarding process and communicate travel expectation of new department director.
    • Order name tags in timely manner to be ready on DDs first day at Support Center.
    • Arrange transportation, hotel space and other needed services for on-site training programs.
    • Proof all printed materials for onboarding programs.
    • Assist in ensuring that the Training Center is set-up appropriately for training meetings and kept in a clean and orderly manner.
    • Field questions and requests regarding training as needed.
    • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Four (4) year degree from an accredited university in Organizational Development, Human Resources or other related major preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency with desktop applications: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SharePoint knowledge preferred.
    • Strong analytical, logistical, problem-solving, conceptual thinking and decision-making skills ensuring attention to detail and high level of accuracy within a required timeframe
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
