    The Atria Agency is an internal advertising and strategic communications team serving the real estate and management portfolio of Atria Senior Living, an international provider of luxury senior living communities across the US and Canada. The Atria Agency is an international leader in the aging and longevity conversation. We are looking for a marketing leader to provide project support and help build the brand inside a growing industry with growing demand. As an important part of the marketing team, this person plays a significant role as the primary liaison with Atria communities and regional leadership helping them grow the business by leading and executing marketing initiatives.  People are living longer.     The Community Marketing Specialist works directly with the Marketing Manager to support communities in meeting marketing, sales and revenue objectives. This individual acts as the strategic lead and day-to-day liaison between regional support teams, communities and the creative services department. He/she partners with the Marketing Manager to fulfill all strategic marketing and sales support needs.


    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation.

    • Lead the execution of strategic initiatives – annual plan and project-based – across the region, including top tier and priority communities.
    • Develop and manage marketing plans.
    • Lead the project management through all stages of the project, including ensuring that standards are being met and workloads for the creative team are reasonable.
    • Proactively and responsively communicate with communities to understand their marketing and sales needs and develop and communicate appropriate solutions to achieve desired goals.
    • Act as a customer advocate as it pertains to messaging and brand experience.
    • Develop project creative briefs to inform strategic and creative solutions.
    • Communicate with internal team – managers, traffic, and creative – to ensure appropriate solutions are developed to meet communities’ marketing and sales goals.
    • Provide data-driven insights as requested for community and/or region to drive inquiry and lead generation.
    • Open and manage new jobs and schedule dates for creative development and fulfillment.
    • Proof creative before sending onto client/community.
    • Review jobs and resolve issues – make decisions to place jobs on-hold that require additional information or approval, acquire the information needed to remove the job from hold, and adjust the final due date (if necessary) when hold is released.
    • Approve final artwork prior to print.
    • Research community advertising requests, handle insertion orders and related documents for media placement.
    • Approve print and media invoices.
    • Enter media orders into the Media Order system.
    • Process all billing and other financial documentation monthly.
    • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.


    • Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
      • Proficient in basic Microsoft applications including: Word, Excel, Power Point.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
      • Three (3) or more years of experience in an advertising agency or corporate marketing or communications department.
      • Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about marketing needs and executing successful marketing plans.
      • Experience in corporate communications preferred.
      • Strong presentation skills, problem solving skills, multi-tasking skills, and prioritization and delegation abilities.
      • Basic knowledge of public relations and when it’s appropriate to involve public relations in various situations.
      • Able to travel. May be required to travel (up to 10% of time) on behalf of the Company.
