    Responsibilities

    The Junior Instructional Designer works closely with subject matter experts to create content and support ongoing training programs under the direction of the Instructional Design Manager. In this role, the Junior Instructional Designer is accountable for the design, development and content of all assigned courses and projects.

    • Consult with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other team members to create engaging, interactive course content and learning activities that increase the retention of knowledge to learners within a specific schedule using rapid development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, etc.
    • Develop and implement simple and complex eLearning interactions and assessments (e.g., courses, videos, assessments, evaluations, etc.).
    • Utilize adult learning principles and delivery methods consistent with instructional goals when creating and supporting training content.
    • Pursue continuing education regarding industry trends and emerging tools through training, conferences and industry publications.
    • Assist with responding to field questions and requests regarding eLearning courses and programs as needed.
    • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a content/graphics development or instructional design capacity.
    • Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated visual design skills and ability to storyboard.
    • Possess an understanding of project management concepts.
    • Solid analytical skills to assess effectiveness of current training materials.
    • Strong computer skills and operational knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; demonstrated ability to gain mastery of specialized technology or software as needed.
    • Articulate Studio or Camtasia software experience is a plus.
