    Responsibilities

    This role will at Atria's New York Redevelopment office in Melville, NY.

     

    The Interior Design Assistant coordinates the execution of interior and exterior design criteria at all phases of Redevelopment and Capital Improvements ID projects in the area.

     

    • Redevelopment Projects
      • Compile and update project spec binders for FF&E and finishes.
      • Assist in reselection of FF&E and fabrics as needed.
      • Identify locations for accessories and make preliminary selections.
      • Assist on-site with furniture and accessories installations as needed.
      • Upload progress and finish photos to the public drive.
      • Compile closeout document binders.

     

    • CapX Projects
      • Create specification sheets for different categories of FF&E and finishes.
      • Assist in design selections as needed.
      • Create scaled room layouts.
      • Obtain and verify quotes for FF&E.
      • Order samples for projects and sample sets for design library.
      • Assemble design packages and send to communities for approval.
      • Assist on-site with furniture and accessories installations as needed.
      • Upload before and after photos to the public drive.
      • Track punch list items.

     

    • Administrative
      • Maintain design library.
      • Source new design products and schedule meetings with manufacturers’ representatives.
      • Complete purchasing card reconciliations and expense reports.
      • Order office supplies.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
