Responsibilities

The Manager, Digital Content is an experienced professional with demonstrable skills in creating, improving and maintaining content that aligns with short–term and long-term marketing targets. This individual oversees all content initiatives on owned social media channels to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience.

  • Guide the creation and sharing of content for online social channels (blog, social platforms) and news outlets (digital and traditional) according to larger brand strategy and business goals.
  • Create and execute a digital content editorial calendar and manage a content creation team.
  • Partner with the digital team to understand web traffic and metrics to identify best practices.
  • Create news and features pieces to be published on blog and all social platforms.
  • Responsible for two (2) blog entries per month; administer the assignment and creation of writing pieces with a network of authors.
  • Communicate and provide recommendations to Company thought leaders.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop content, style and layout.
  • Review and edit all social posts.
  • Ensure representation of brand voice in all written, editorial pieces.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Media, or Communications.
  • Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) or more years of marketing experience in roles of progressive responsibility.
  • Experience in the following areas of media/marketing:
    • Interactive/Online strategy and media campaign design and delivery.
    • Search engine optimization (SEO).
    • Rich media and online video creation.
  • Experience with researching and adjusting marketing strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Prior leadership and management experience including coaching and mentoring others.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation, analytical, quantitative, and detail-orientation skills.
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
  • Complete knowledge of keyword-driven content, mobile user experience, social strategy and blogger relations.
  • Understanding of interactive research tools such as Analytics platforms, content monitoring and measurement and other tracking, reporting, and development applications.
  • Extensive project management experience with the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects at the same time, meet deadlines, set and achieve project budgets and control project quality.
  • Project Management/PMP certification preferred.
