Responsibilities

The Traffic Specialist is responsible for the daily supervision and trafficking of assignments for the Marketing department, working closely with the creative team, Marketing Specialists and department management to efficiently allocate resources and meet deadlines.

 

  • Establish and supervise project timelines and priorities and communicate those to the team.
  • Scope project requests, determine needed resources and coordinate work assignments for the creative team.
  • Prepare reports on team performance, time evaluations, resource availability and department bandwidth.
  • Evaluate and update internal systems to reflect shifting workload and initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for streamlining processes and systems based on experience and data.
  • Attend all project kick off meetings with a current calendar of key marketing initiatives; ensuring that the project team fully understands the project scope and deliverables.
  • Work with the Marketing Specialists to understand project objectives and assist them in meeting the goals.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day job trafficking to appropriate resources by communicating daily with the Creative Director and Specialist team leader.
  • Advise Marketing Specialists on appropriate work back schedules.
  • Run daily standup meetings to inform marketing team of priorities, conflicts and changes.
  • Regularly provide project teams with status updates on key deliverables.
  • Proactively keep the Director of Traffic abreast of issues and seek clarification on any conflicting priorities.
  • Provide Creative and Brand Strategy management a weekly summary of all high profile projects.
  • Support creative services in delivering files as needed.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising or related field experience. May consider more specific work experience. Experience with print/media buying a plus.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in an advertising or marketing firm or other large company with multiple, concurrent projects.

  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills, as well as the ability to juggle multiple assignments.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – including Level 2/Intermediate Excel capabilities.

  • Basic knowledge of Creative Suite a plus.
