Responsibilities

The Network Technician is responsible for the installation and configuration of our expanding remote network infrastructure. This individual is responsible for setting up the various hardware and software components, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues along the way. This individual will collaborate with other members of the IT team to problem solve using an in depth understanding of network technologies.

 

  • Monitor the network using provided tools to ensure all LAN and WAN equipment are healthy. 
  • Work closely with the Network Administrator to ensure the health and reliability of Atria remote networks.
  • Conduct various audits on all network equipment (routers, switches and access points) to ensure that all are using a standard configuration.
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of networking issues.
  • Install and configure routers, firewall, switches, access points, etc.
  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair remote networking equipment.
  • Provide backup assistance to Network Administrator.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency.
  • Ensure the network operates securely.
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team and management.
  • Perform necessary upgrades to the network equipment as needed.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) year degree of any technology discipline or equivalent years of experience.
  • Able to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Working knowledge of Meraki, Cisco IOS, ASA firewalls, ISE, MPLS, subnetting, VLAN(s), RADIUS, EIGRP, BGP, VOIP, QOS, Cisco AnyConnect.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, nights or weekends when necessary.
  • A+, Net+, CCENT, CCNA, preferred.
