Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function through forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. This role partners with operational and corporate stakeholders to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making, improve financial performance, and enhance forecasting accuracy. The position requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

 

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term operating forecasts.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including template preparation, data consolidation, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with operations and functional leaders to incorporate key business drivers into forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate operational initiatives, investments, and strategic decisions.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for senior leadership.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, providing clear explanations.
  • Support benchmarking and KPI development to measure community and portfolio performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and financial processes.
  • Assist with special projects, presentations, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • One (1) to four (4) years of similar experience.
  • Strong understanding of finance.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organization, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
